Life isn’t always fun.
Stress and unpleasant experiences can lead to psychological complaints. Sometimes, you need someone who isn’t part of your daily life to help. Someone with expertise to help you overcome these issues or to learn to deal with them differently.
Marjan Krijgsveld, an experienced clinical psychologist,
not only focuses on the complaints, but takes
the whole of you into account and helps you live in accordance with your true nature.
Did you know 'psyche' means 'soul'?
For who?
Psycheheel treats adults in Dutch or English.
A lot of students find their way to this inner-city practice of Marjan, a former student psychologist.
You are welcome when you struggle with a transitional phase in life: to adulthood, to parenthood, through menopause, to retirement and lastly the letting go of life.
The transition of overcoming trauma to help turn it into post-traumatic growth is another focus. Also, the profound transitions that can be made when finding and walking your shamanic or spiritual path can be taken into consideration if you wish.
For what?
PTSD, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, grief, depression, and burnout (or other consequences of stress) are treated. This can include excessive worrying, psychosomatic complaints, perfectionism, sleeping problems, restlessness, irritability, insecurity, and low self-esteem.
Generalist Basic Mental Healthcare (GB-GGZ) is offered, which involves short-term (max 12 sessions) treatment focused on one diagnosis.
Which methods?
The first session dives right into the core of your complaints. This reveals whether your needs align with the practice's offerings and if you feel a connection with your therapist.
If so, you will work together using methods such as ACT, EMDR, CBT, positive psychology, or techniques to bring the unconscious into awareness.
The sessions take place either indoors at the Vismarkt or outdoors in nature. Next to the individual sessions, Psycheheel also works with various groups.
