In addition to individual therapy, treatment can also take place in a (small) group setting. Please reach out if you are interested, or ask Marjan about this option if you are already in therapy and it hasn't been discussed yet.

ACT Mindful in the park

Mostly in silence, we walk mindfully or engage in a personal task in the nature of Stadspark. During the explanation of the exercise(s), there will be a brief opportunity to share your intention or theme. We also conclude with a short sharing round where you may discuss your experiences, but sharing is not mandatory. It is beneficial if you have previously worked with ACT, compassion training, or mindfulness. ACT, nature-based psychology, and the power of the group complement each other.

  • Who? Minimum of 2 and maximum of 10 participants.

  • When? Weekly on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-10:00, except during school holidays.

  • Where? In Stadspark in Groningen. If there is sufficient interest and participant availability, we may move to a nature area just outside Groningen.

Note: Also if you are not or no longer in treatment, you are welcome to join. It’s a great way to get to know Marjan amaintain time for mindfulness with like-minded people.

This monthly lunar group for women, you can join next to your individual sessions. You will learn to approach yourself, your psychological issues, negative experiences, and circumstances differently. ACT is combined with spirituality in this group. An open attitude towards spirituality is therefore a prerequisite for participation. The focus is on connecting with your heart and from there with other women. In this small, safe group, you will learn to show yourself and feel seen, heard, and accepted in your vulnerability and feminine strength.

  • Who? Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 people who identify as female

  • When? Every 4 weeks around the new moon on Sunday 10.30-13.00

  • Where? At Vismarkt in Groningen

"The time I spent as part of this group was an incredibly important and enriching experience for me. Initially, I did not know what to expect, but was more than positively surprised at how well I got along with the other participants and how deep connections were formed from the first session onwards. This time has not only shown me the importance of connecting with other girls, sharing openly and receiving but also taught me that being vulnerable can be a powerful tool. Going to the session has shown me that I am not alone with my struggles and daily worries and made me gain a lot more compassion for myself. Moreover, I have gained valuable knowledge about psychological concepts that I now apply in my daily life, especially in connection with mindfulness and finding peace in the business of life. I would recommend everyone to join this beautiful and healing experience because there is no requirement to attend except showing up as you are - whatever that looks like on that day."
